Bend the Arc Jewish Action, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501(c) (4) organization that operates the jewishaction.us website. Our goal is to build a movement of progressive Jews who believe in a just America for everyone.
You do not have to share personally identifiable information to use the Bend the Arc Jewish Action website. Bend the Arc Jewish Action does not collect personally identifiable information about people without their permission. Our website recognizes you in two ways. One way is by cookies, but only if you opt to enable the "Remember Me" checkbox. When you check this box, our website gives you a cookie and remembers you the next time you visit by pre-populating fields with your contact information and calling up your elected officials so you can quickly take action. The second way our website recognizes you is through the use of personalized links. Emails Bend the Arc Jewish Action sends you through the Luminate email messaging system contain "personalized links" - links to our advocacy campaigns that have a unique string of characters appended to them that is personalized for each member - so that your contact information is pre-populated in the fields of a particular advocacy campaign.

How we track HTML newsletters:
We make use of both "open-tracking" and "click-tracking" in our HTML newsletters (i.e. emails that contain text and images). Bend the Arc Jewish Action is extremely protective of the information it gathers through its advocacy campaigns, legislative and organizing work, the mail, and its website. Our website has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of the information under our control. Our web server is located in a locked, secure environment. All databases containing personal information are securely stored on a separate system that is not connected to the Internet.
When you contribute online or by other means to Bend the Arc Jewish Action, we use a secure server and encryption to protect your financial and other personal information during transmission.
Bend the Arc Jewish Action endorses and follows the Donor Bill of Rights – created by the Association of Fundraising Professionals - a recognized standard for organizations that engage in fundraising for philanthropic purposes. Bend the Arc Jewish Action does not sell its list – ever. Occasionally, Bend the Arc Jewish Action does exchange mail lists with like-minded organizations through bonded third-party vendors. These organizations are never given information about our membership directly. Information pertaining to the contributions of Bend the Arc Jewish Action supporters is never — under any circumstance — released to external entities for the purpose of list exchanges.
Bend the Arc Jewish Action does not specifically ask children under 18 for any information and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information about them. Bend the Arc Jewish Action may from time to time ask children under 18 to take part in its education and advocacy efforts relating to its mission as an organization. These instances and any use of personally identifiable information will occur with the consent/participation of a parent/caregiver, or sponsoring organization.
