Bend the Arc and Colleagues Oppose House Efforts to Strike Birthright Citizenship from the Constitution

Today, Bend the Arc and more than a dozen Jewish organizations wrote to House Judiciary Committee leaders in opposition to efforts to amend or circumvent the birthright citizenship provisions of the U.S. Constitution. Organized by the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, the letter notes that the birthright citizenship provision of our Constitution “is a unique expression of the American Dream and a critical protection of our national values of equality, opportunity and justice.”
