Our vision at Bend the Arc is to build and activate Jewish power to help transform our country to be inclusive, equitable, and supportive of the dignity of every person across race, class, gender and faith.
The election of Trump and his radical allies in Congress have fanned bigotry and hatred, and their disregard for democracy, religious freedom, and human rights present an existential threat to this vision and the founding ideal of this country.
As Jews, our history and moral tradition call us to be bold and courageous in the face of this threat. And we know it will take many of us, coming together to take collective action alongside partners in frontline communities, if we hope to make a difference. American Jews understand resilience and they understand resistance. As our CEO Stosh Cotler has said, “We were made for this.”
Our strategy is to draw on this moral clarity, to connect hundreds of thousands of American Jews with other allies and each other, and to grow a powerful grassroots, movement to activate our community's power to:
Fight the extremist, authoritarian agenda of Trump and the Republican party -- in partnership with frontline, impacted communities -- and obstruct, delay and prevent their destructive and hateful policies, while exposing, discrediting and disrupting their false narrative and dystopian vision of America;
Win victories for progressive principles and policies at the state and local level that make concrete improvements in the quality of life for everyday people, elevate the power of the progressive movement’s vision, and refute and reject the destructive national Trump agenda;
Win real power in the elections of 2018 and 2020 to deliver on our vision.
To accomplish this strategy and respond to this political moment, we have launched the Moral Minyan Project, an unprecedented expansion of our on-the-ground presence, driven by volunteers like you. Local volunteer-led groups like these are happening all over the country, and we need more.
Join us by finding a Bend the Arc group near you, organizing one in your community, taking action, or making a donation to fund this new, unprecedented surge in our work.
We were made for this. Join the Jewish resistance today.
